Mind, the Metnal Health Charity
Mind is a UK charity for mental health that provides advice and support services which aim to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem to find the help they need. They also campaign tirelessly to improve the existing support and services available, to raise public awareness and to promote understanding, especially in the workplace.

Mind helps individuals to understand their condition and the choices available to them by providing clear and informative support and guidance through services such as:

  • An Infoline which offers callers confidential help for the price of a local call.
  • A Legal Advice Service which provides information on mental health related law to the public, service users, family members/carers, mental health professionals and mental health advocates.
  • Award-winning publications and website, now certified by the Information Standard.

Mind also provides help and support directly to those who need it most through their network of more than 160 local services which offer specialised support and care based on the needs of the communities they support. They are currently developing national and local peer support networks for anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

Mind believe that everyone with a mental health problem should have access to excellent care and services, as well as be treated fairly, positively and with respect, which is why they campaign on a range of issues that could affect anybody with a mental health problem. This includes health services; legislation; protection of legal rights, and employment. Learn more about Mind’s campaign for change and join them to help make a difference.

You can also follow Mind on Facebook and Twitter or read about numerous individual’s personal experiences and insights on their blog.

They also offer professional training to help promote and raise awareness in mental health issues which is essential to bring about change, end discrimination and promote good mental health for all.
